Notre-Dame de Saint Père in Burgundy

We took a weekend trip to Burgundy, to the region of Vézelay, famous for it's abbey which is the starting point for the pilgrimage route of Santeago de Compostela. But at the foot of the famous hill of Vézelay nestles the charming village of Saint Père, which has a jewel of a church, the Notre-Dame de Saint Père. We stayed over at this village because we could not find place in Vézelay, and we are glad we did, for we got to discover this Church which has been described by Romain Rolland as 'Gracious and perfect flower of art'.
